Shortage Over

Colonial paid 4.4 million dollars to the hackers. That is $4,400,000.00 to pay some ass hats basically to give the company back their own software!

I worked doing physical construction labor my entire life. My knees are shot, hips are shot, lungs full of industrial dusts and chemicals. I'm not complaining I made a good living for my family, but when I read about heads that cause these kinds of disruptions with the stroke of a key I wanna strangle somebody!! I HATE THIEVES! Whether you use a gun, a briefcase or a keyboard you are a vile piece of shiite that ain't worth the powder to blow to hell!!!
(Takes deep breath) Thanks for letting me rant I feel a little better, now for a a 12 year old scotch on the rocks!

Can;t afford fuel, park it. What a bunch of babies.
Some folks pay more to park their rigs than their purchases of fuel. When you own a Harley ( or any motorcycle for that matter) one cardinal rule I have always known is that you never rant about another bike owner's type of bike, age of bike, what he does and do not spend. Same goes for boat owners which means Bring On Another Thousand) At the Marina it is a favorite pastime to sit back and drink a beer and complain about the price of gas at the dock. I am just trying to imagine what happens when the owner that walks us and spews your logic of condemnation

FWIW, I buy gas at the EXACT same places I did before the RV, and in the exact same manner with no special gas cards or program. It is only more to me because I get 7.5 mpg versus 12 mpg. But with that said, I don't think I have ever pulled into any gas station to buy gas without pondering what does it cost?, and yes, I cross the street when it is a branded fuel and .02 cents cheaper

I was in Myrtle beach from the 10th to the 17th. We had 3 day of no fuel. I had 48 gallons of diesel. We just stayed put in the RV. Everything is back to norm now.
Anyone heading down to the southeast will be perfectly fine.
Reminds me of how dependent we are on fossil fuels.

Ask a bunch of Texans after this past winter about how well the "green" energy sources attempting to replace fossil fuels worked out.

We went to get Puppy Tuesday. Fuss had already started and gas no issue to NC. Stopped short of farm to fill up, only regular no lines. Stayed extra 2 days, no additional expense just power cord (20 amp). Had fun, watched fuss. Left Friday no problem getting gas no exceptional prices. Got gas in GA which puts us in range of home. No issue other than usual slowdown on I4.

Gas readily available near home at prevailing rate.

Owning RV never consider cost of fuel. If money was concern would not have bought. Going to do what we want with time left. The privacy, mobility and convienience if having RV means no nasty rest stops, sleep anywhere and have home with you all the time. Is hard to beat but also requires money, effort and understanding.

Windmills operate just fine year round in the upper midwest, but they do have to be built for that. Solar held up okay in Texas, but is very small as a percentage of Texas's total supply, so didn't help much. Most of Texas's issues were actually caused by fossil fuel supply issues though - frozen natural gas pipelines - combined with the lack of interconnects to other regions. Winterization of Texas's power infrastructure may be a good idea. Also, on the lack of interconnects, when something goes wrong with local supply (hurricane, or other natural disaster) in most of the rest of the country, we can pull power from another part of the country that isn't affected by that event.

I guess that their wind turbines froze up...
But the hardware was available to avoid that issue; they just didn't have it.

Some posts toe the political line, some posts blatantly cross the line, are deleted, and cause threads to be closed. Such is the case here. This crisis has passed and now so shall this thread.
