Chassis Fuse Box

Today I was checking all my engine fluids and I ran across the chassis Fuse Box on my F53 pictured below. I feel stupid but how do I open it? I played with it for north of 30 minutes but couldn't figure it out! All I could do was slide the black tab on the right side forward and back but wasn't able to open it in either position...

It just pops open from the bottom. I think there's a small tab bottom right, pull that toward you and it'll open

And follow the direction on the cover. Follow the arrow to the cover and pull

First time I tried I opened it opened right up. Tried several months later and did the same as you

I'll have to play with it again tomorrow. I'm probably going to kick myself when I finally figure it out but for the life of me I couldn't do it today! Ashamed to admit but it got the best of me. Thank you!

That sliding pull tab has nothing to do with opening it

Looking at the pics, I see that we aren't all talking about the same fusebox.

This box is a true PAIN IN THE ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's impossible to see how to open it and I guess a Ford tech could show you. I got mad and broke the damn thing to open but I can still shut it and it stays shut. A Ford engineer obviously came up with this POS system cause he never had to deal with his creation????? Good Luck LOL
