Resurfacing this thread, as I'm experiencing similar problem with my 2016 Windsport 34F. On ours, the stairwell has not cracked, but it has pulled away from the side of the coach. When you stand at the top of the stairs, you can look down and see the ground between the door threshold and the stairwell. The gap widens when you step on the outside step. Has anyone else had this specific thing happen? If I am able to install a brace to support the stairwell, how should I reattached the stairwell face to the side of the coach and seal it? I'll try to get a photo, but it's hard to capture on camera.

Once you crawl under.. it will be easy to see how to brace it up. Hopefully you have handyman skills , easy peasy… but enough to piss you off that Thor builds the one area, which encounters repetitive weight and bounce from the road so cheaply.

2016 Thor 34J Stairwell fail

My stairwell has a 1.5 inch gap between siding and stairwell. I can see two wood screw barely holding on. But I can’t get to the screws because of the RV siding. I’m not sure where to mount a L brace. Any help?
