are you a member of the facebook group "Gemini/Compass owners by Thor"? Slider Jack has an awesome awesome document of his journey to Li - and I would really appreciate your experiences down the road too as we are wanting to go down the Li road when we get our rig

Has anyone tried to remove the ext COMPASS (or GEMINI) Letters or badges
Hello Friends,
I looked for this subject extensively but could not find any discussion. Has anyone tried to remove the coach lettering on the outside of the body (Compass or Gemini). After a long road trip my COMPASS letters over the cab are delaminating and flopping in the wind. I just want to remove them but I am not sure if a heat gun will remove the remaining adhesive. I don't want to end up with a shadow of the original letters.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Compass 24TF
Hi, like others we’ve had our share of issues. Most annoying of which has been the retractable sun roof cover over the cab which has been repaired 4 times now. I was told that there is a reset button inside if you remove the cover. Does anyone have experience with that? Thanks

Question about the empty fresh water tank and sanatizing.
Blew out the fresh water system out with air before the freeze.
Would I still need to go through the santization process and need to fill with fresh water before?
Cheers!

How expensive was the installation of the leveling system?

GM all,
Has anyone had their shore power blue indicator light go out and have a fix?
Maybe a bad fuse?
Just noticed this in the dark this morning.
Cheers.

Hi Roadrunner255
The little blue light on the shore power cord is not really needed to operate. It is just there for convenience to the owner. I would not really worry about it.

Broken backing plate for BMPro controller ("RV Master"
I finally tracked down the way to order a replacement backing plate (attachment panel) for the Australian made BMPro Controller panel. I discovered that the bottom two latching fingers on my 2021 Thor Gemini 23 TW were broken and I investigated how to get a replacement. I live six hours from the nearest Thor dealer, and 1700 miles from the Utah dealer where the first owner purchased it in October 2020. (He sold it to me in Mar 2021 as he did not like the unit once he bought it.)
I was told (by the parts guy at the Utah dealer, GeneralRV, that only the entire unit could be purchased ($$$$$). Other Thor dealers had no idea how to order BMPro parts. I contacted BMPro (AUS) and they stated they were prohibited by Thor to sell parts to US customers. A second email to them after the dealers could not answer my request got the response I needed - the Thor part number for the "Plastic Backing Plate" (what BMPro calls it).
So, for all those who discover they need one, it is #0452557. Costs $9.85. I ordered three (may encounter other Gemini/Compass owners who need one) from RVCountry near Eugene Oregon. The parts guy who helped me was Tim.
The picture is flipped upside down by the upload for some reason.

I emptied the tank in the fall ,about a week ago I filled the tank and added about a litre of vinegar ,and let it sit. I will empty it soon , and flush it again, then good to go. At the same time I used happy camper in both black and gray tanks and filled to 1/3 , I will drive to the camp site , and let it flush around and empty it there.

Rear view camera visability
New Compass arriving soon. I Note that the rear view camera is displayed in a small section of the rear view mirror Does anyone find that hard to get a good view? Looks awfully small.

Welcome the the site and congrats on your RV purchase.
Not sure if your rear view camera is the same as our 2020' but it takes some time to get used to the view.
Also don't forget to check that the safety film is removed from the rear camera.
Took us 4 months and some rain to determine that the dealer never removed the film on the camera lens.
Cheers!

We purchased from a small dealer and on a 105 degree day, we did not get to go over all systems in the rv. Big mistake, dealer up by dallas/ ft worth flyies you in for a 2 day orientation with an overnight stay at a local hotel.
If I could do it all over again I would by from that type of dealer and pay the fee for that.
Major items that were wrong;
Hvac not cooling, bad compressor
Unable to connect discharge hose
Black and gray water valve cables coiled up preventing opening and closing.
Black water flush hose santiflush inoperable
Battery isolation manager, BIM, incorrect part and installed outside of battery box instead of inside (failed and caused 12v system failure, house batteries to drain).
Minor items;
Bed rubber feet fell off, incorectly instsalled.
Water pump failure
Slide rubber gasket torn, controller cables dangling.
Thor has been great, they reimbursed our hotel bills when the bim failed over our xmas trip. No 12v to extend the slide and replaced all defective parts.
Dealer not so much however, they did give us a loaner ac unit so we can at least use the rv while we wait for a warranty replacement.
Nice to have a working ac for the first time since purchas.
Learned from this site that a mobile repair company can be used if thor approaves it.
Be prepared for long service wait times and when on the road even worse.
Cheers

Hello all,
Is there a procedure for changing from generator (propane) to shore power when setting up in an rv site?
Reason I ask is we had the proane generator on when ariving at the rv site. don't recall if it was on auto or just generator. Shut generator off and plugged into shore power.
Hours later noticed a fault in the refrig.
Cleared the code and the next morning frig/freezer at the correct temps.
Thanks in advance.

I would like to to install an inverter. Would be interested in anyone with experience installing an inverter. Brand, location, size, and ac outlets included in installation. Would also like to add a lithium battery.
